  • Quest Diagnostics

Sesame Workshop is collaborating with Quest Diagnostics as part of the Quest for Health Equity (Q4HE) initiative to create bilingual (English and Spanish), multimedia programs that help all families, regardless of zip code, income, or skin color, build healthy habits as a foundation for lifelong well-being.

This effort addresses systemic barriers to health care and helps improve access to the critical resources every family needs to stay well.

Sesame Workshop and Quest share a deep commitment to mitigate the structural racism causing the systemic health equity disparities that significantly impact the most vulnerable communities. The materials build on the unique strengths of each family and community while addressing all aspects of children’s health—not just physical but social, emotional, and psychological as well.

The initiative equips parents and children with tools to improve their experience of doctors’ visits and offers providers professional development resources and materials to distribute and display to engage families and to amplify their efforts. These resources focus on screenings for risk factors such as food and shelter insecurity, and promoting the importance of routine well-child visits, oral health check-ups, vaccinations, and follow-up for chronic illnesses.

Integrated into the initiative are partnerships with health systems and pediatric health care professionals to help providers empower children and parents as they build confidence, trust, and resilience within their communities.
