I Know My Letters
A printable alphabet coloring page.
Invite children to color the page. Can they name each letter and say the sound it represents?
Here are more ways to prepare children for literacy learning in kindergarten:
- Notice letters all around you in the world, and go on “letter hunts” (look at signs when you’re out and about: “Can you find the letter A?”).
- Help children practice writing their first names (in all uppercase letters or in a combination of upper and lowercase).
- Help children practice holding a pencil or crayon with their thumb and finger supporting the tip.
- Keep sharing lots of books and stories!
