Three Jars
A printable activity to help kids learn about spending, sharing, and saving.
Print out these labels. Invite children to color them in and decorate them. Then:
- Talk with kids about “Spending,” “Sharing,” and “Saving.” Find jars to place the labels on and have kids color and decorate the jars.
- Ask kids about things they want. Discuss how much each item or activity would cost.
- When they receive money, whether as an allowance or gift, decide together how much to put in each jar.
- Over time, talk about the progress children are making toward their spending, sharing, and saving goals.
