I Live in Two Different Worlds
Sesame Street friends celebrate the idea of doing things differently at home and school.
Watch the video of the Sesame Street friends singing about things they do at home and at school. Ask, “What differences between school and home did the Muppets sing about? How are home and school different for you? What do you do both at home and in school?” (read, wash hands, and so on).
Discuss how at home, children play with parents or siblings, and can usually talk whenever they like and move around freely. At school, they play with friends, and often have to raise their hands to speak, walk in a line, or sit in their place. Home and school are different…and that’s okay!
