Sharing Smiles and Frowns

Focusing on the positive helps make negative moments seem more manageable.

Good things happen every day—and so do challenging things. It may help to remember and talk about both kinds of moments with someone in your life who cares about you.

  • Have a grown-up print out the coloring page.
  • Color in the picture of Abby and her mother.
  • Ask a grown-up to help you hang the finished picture on the wall.
  • Now draw a picture (or pictures) about the best thing that happened to you. Hang that one up, too!
