Things We Value
Begin learning the financial concept of value by matching each Sesame friend to the treasure they value most.
Print out this matching activity and ask children to identify which items are special to each Sesame friend. Encourage kids to talk about people who are special to them, such as friends and family members. Ask what they think is special to each person. Share a story about something that is special to you and explain why. Then ask kids what is special to them and why! This is a simple way to help kids start thinking about how things have value. Value relates to how much things cost and how much people are willing to pay for them.
