Our Family Pizza

Help Rosita’s family practice making healthy choices by picking out pizza toppings. 

Print this page and complete it together, helping Rosita’s family choose healthy toppings for their weekly family pizza night. You can also:  

  • Talk about any of the toppings pictured that your child hasn’t tried, and consider offering it in any form next time you have a chance. 
  • Think of and draw your own healthy toppings. 
  • Think of ways children can be involved in preparing meals (stirring, chopping with child-safe knives, and so on) and consider new ways you might involve children in preparing meals. Even something as simple as an English muffin pizza toaster oven snack or arranging healthy ingredients on a “tortilla pizza” is an opportunity to work together to create a healthy moment.  
  • Invent your own “family favorites” meal (for instance: one of your children loves bananas, you love strawberries, and your other child loves to push the button on the blender… make “The _____ Family’s Strawberry-Banana Smoothies”).  
  • Praise your child’s efforts!
