Look at Me, Look at You!

A printable page with positive parent-child statements.

Every morning, Wes and his dad Elijah look in the mirror and repeat some sentences in their “proud voices.”

Together with children, you can too. Print this page and try it. You might post it on a mirror. What other positive statements can you think of that you’d like children to remember? Write them at the bottom of the page.

The reminders that children need to hear might change from day to day, but integrating this routine into your day can set a foundation of resilience and confidence that can last a lifetime. It also helps to frequently tell children why you’re proud of them and what makes them unique!
