Let’s Make a Gratitude Frame!

You can help young children learn how to recognize and express gratitude.

For children, showing gratitude for the people around them is a skill they can develop with your help. You can show them how to make being thankful—and expressing their thanks—a part of their everyday routines. It can help when you show children how you are grateful for them. This can help them develop a stronger sense of self-worth and confidence. And, you will be modelling grateful behavior.

These resources offer simple activities to help children (and grown-ups!) express their gratitude for others.

In this video, you’ll learn how to create a gratitude frame with your child. The video will give you step-by-step instructions for how help your child make a frame for a special person in their life, using just a few craft supplies. While you craft together, you and your child might think—and talk—about who you’re grateful for, and what makes them so special.
