Friendship Bracelets
When it’s hard to be apart from those we love, the littlest things can become big reminders that someone loves us and is thinking of us.
When challenges and feelings are BIG, there are little things you can do to help things feel easier for your child. Together with your child, watch this video in which Grover and his mommy show the friendship bracelets that they made together.
The bracelet reminds Grover he’s safe and loved even when he’s apart from his mommy. They’re a happy reminder of their love for one another.
You can make your own bracelets from ribbon (try decorating them together or using marker to add your initials, like Grover and his mommy). Even a piece of yarn or string will work.
And check out this video of Elmo and his friend Lily talking about their special bracelets.
