Ryan Dillon is the Sesame Street Muppet performer of everyone’s favorite furry red monster, Elmo.

Ryan Dillon is the Sesame Street Muppet performer of everyone’s favorite furry red monster, Elmo. Inspired by Jim Henson since childhood, Dillon built his own original puppet characters and trained himself in the Muppet style of performance.

He joined Sesame Street during his senior year of high school, making him a resident for the past 18 years. His two-time Daytime Emmy Award-winning work can be seen globally with appearances on shows including virtually major talk show as well as BBC’s The Furchester Hotel, The Not Too Late Show with Elmo, toys, live shows, and much more. In addition to Elmo, Dillon keeps busy at Sesame performing the loveable oddball, Felix the Chicken, as well as Don Music, Lefty the Salesman, and countless cows, monsters, talking foods, and more. His work can be seen in national commercials and other work for Spiffy Pictures, The Jim Henson Company and Disney’s Muppets. Dillon also serves as a director for material for Sesame Street. When he’s not working on Sesame, Dillon is a puppet designer, builder, consultant, and performer, co-running his production company, DillonGale Studios, whose work can be found on Instagram and YouTube.
