Latoryah Alexander is an actress, puppeteer, and teaching artist who began her professional acting career at New Stage Theatre in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.
While performing and studying at New Stage, her passion for the intersection of arts and education blossomed. She later relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where she spent more than a decade working in educational theatre, bringing stories to life through acting, puppetry, and a wide range of productions and programs. Through this work, she discovered the unique power of theatre, storytelling, and play to engage young audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and inspire creativity and confidence.
Throughout her career, Alexander has also worked across film and television, expanding her craft beyond the stage and into the world of screen performance.
Alexander continues to bring her love of storytelling, puppetry, and education to her work on Sesame Street. She hopes her work continues to inspire creativity, wonder, and hope in the hearts of kids from 1 to 92.
