Latoryah Alexander is an actress, puppeteer, and teaching artist who began her professional acting career at New Stage Theatre, Mississippi’s only Regional Theatre, in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi.

While performing and studying at New Stage, her passion for arts and education blossomed. She subsequently relocated to Atlanta, GA, where she became a company member at Kaiser Permanente Educational Theatre, one of Georgia’s longest-running Educational Theatre Companies. There, she performed for 10+ years in countless shows and workshops as an actress, puppeteer, and facilitator, utilizing the unique power of theatre to inspire healthy choices and build stronger communities. As a company member, Alexander worked in curriculum development and had the honor of facilitating the research, creation, and execution of many meaningful and relevant learning programs, one being the Female Empowerment Workshop. The workshop provided tools to help build leadership skills and self-esteem in young girls and empower them to sculpt positive ideas about their self-image. Alexander is over the moon about joining Sesame Street and hopes her body of work continues to inspire creativity, wonder, and hope in the hearts of kids from 1 to 92.
