Using Your Words
A coloring page helping children explore words for big feelings.
Print this page and invite children to color it. As they do, you might:
- Read the story at the top of the page aloud.
- Ask questions such as, “Why do you think Rudy may have had big feelings?” “Have you ever felt those feelings?” “What did Rudy’s Daddy do to help him?” “What helps you feel better when you’re having big feelings?”
- Notice and talk about the words Rudy can use next time to tell his Daddy how he’s feeling. Talk about times you have felt those feelings and invite your child to do the same.
