Noticing That Feelings Change
Sing along with Elmo and Chris as they describe how feelings change.
- Watch the video and encourage kids to name the different feelings they’ve had today. Have their feelings changed during the day? Point out that feelings change all day long, and they’re all okay.
- Ask kids what Elmo and Chris do when they feel scared, worried, or sad. Which idea would they like to try next time they have one of these feelings? What else can kids do to help themselves (hug a pet or stuffed animal, count to ten, color a picture)?
