Sesame Workshop has a long history across the Asia Pacific region, since the debut of Sesame Street in Australia in 1971.
With Sesame Workshop offices in China and Japan and strong partnerships throughout the region in Australia, The Philippines, Thailand, Singapore and South Korea, Sesame Workshop continues to expand –onto screens and into schools, at community centers, educational play centers, live entertainment, and design and lifestyle partnerships bringing our characters into the lives of millions.
Generations of families and fans are engaging with Sesame in more moments and more places than ever before. At Sesame Workshop theme parks in Japan and Singapore, live tours in Australia and China. Students in South Korea and across Japan learn from our trusted characters and research-based curriculum including at our Play to Learn educational play center in Seoul. On air, Sesame Street Mecha Builders brings STEM learning and fun to children in Japan, China, and Australia, and Sesame Street is marking its 55th anniversary across the region of helping children everywhere grow smarter, stronger and kinder.
