Pam Arciero is a principal puppeteer on Sesame Street, performing numerous characters, most notably Grundgetta Grouch, for more than 30 years.

She has worked on many other programs for adults and children, including Between the Lions, Blue’s Clues: Blue’s Room, Chappelle’s Show, Allegra’s Window, The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss, TV Funhouse, Oobi, Eureeka’s Castle, and The Great Space Coaster. She has performed in commercials for brands like Zappos, Fuze, Angel Soft, and Doordash and in films like The Sundance Myths: The Sundance Film Festival, Extreme Measures, Little Monsters, and Follow That Bird. Arciero is also a director for live theater, television, and film. She choreographs and directs live walkaround shows for Sesame Workshop in places such as Beaches Resorts in Jamaica and Turks and Caicos, Port Aventura in Barcelona and Saudi Arabia, as well as Sesame Place, Sea World, and touring productions. She directed the film Whiskey Neat and several episodes of Between the Lions and Oobi for television. She is currently directing the play Aanika’s Elephants, which will have its New York debut at the New Victory Theater, Spring 2024.
Arciero has taught for AQM in Montreal, the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, the Taipei National University of the Arts, the University of Hawaii, Sesame Street International, the University of Connecticut, and California State University, Fresno. She serves as the Artistic Director of the National Puppetry Conference at the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center. She holds an undergraduate Degree in Dance and Drama from the University of Hawaii and a Master’s Degree in Puppetry from the University of Connecticut.
