At seven years old, Perez decided to give theatrical auditions a try and, shortly after, booked co-starring roles on CBS’s Tommy and Netflix’s Dash & Lily. In 2021, Perez guest starred on Sesame Street alongside Big Bird. Next, Perez went from television to the big screen, playing the role of Usnavi and Vanessa’s daughter, Iris, in the Warner Bros. feature film musical In The Heights, created by and starring Lin Manuel Miranda and directed by John M. Chu.
Perez is probably best known as one of four kid hosts of The Kids Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, which premiered on Peacock in Sept 2021 and cast (along with Perez) were nominated for “Best Host” in the 2022 Kid’s & Family Emmy Awards. In the fall of 2022, Perez appeared in her very first Christmas movie alongside Lindsay Lohan and Chord Overstreet in Netflix’s Falling for Christmas. The holiday rom-com was Lindsay’s first major role in over a decade and fans were thrilled to see her back on screen. Falling For Christmas had one of the best opening weekends for a Netflix original movie in 2022 on the streaming service. Besides acting, Perez is a competitive rock climber and enjoys spending time with her brother and sister.
