Nishita Gupte is Senior Vice President of Strategy & Transformation at Sesame Workshop, leading the organization’s enterprise strategy and transformation agenda, setting long-term direction, strengthening organizational performance, and ensuring Sesame Workshop is positioned to thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
Gupte oversees strategic planning and enterprise-wide transformation efforts, guiding the organization’s content, innovation, and growth priorities to deliver impact for children and families around the world.
With more than 15 years of experience across education innovation, strategy, and operations, Gupte has focused on helping mission-driven organizations translate bold ideas into sustainable impact. She joined Sesame Workshop in 2022 and previously served as Vice President of U.S. Social Impact & Operations, leading initiatives that supported children and families while strengthening the operating models required to deliver impact.
Before joining Sesame Workshop, Gupte worked in Growth Strategy & Operations at WeWork, where she explored the expansion of school, childcare, and informal education models globally. She also brings experience designing, operating, and investing in equity-centered school models that served as learning and innovation labs — reimagining technology-enabled learning, student agency, and family and community partnership to drive better outcomes. Earlier in her career, she worked in private equity and investment banking at Goldman Sachs.
Gupte holds an MBA and a MA in Education from Stanford University and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
