I Can Take Good Care of Myself
A printable page to remind children of all the ways they care for themselves.
The 7 C’s outline seven important reminders for children impacted by addiction.
- I didn’t Cause the problem.
- I cannot Control it.
- I cannot Cure it.
BUT…
- I can help take Care of myself by
- Communicating my feelings,
- Making healthy Choices, and
- Celebrating myself.
The first three C’s are things children cannot do — like control a parent’s addiction. The last four C’s are things that empower children to address their own needs in the midst of challenge and change.
With children, fill out this printable page and talk with children about all they ways they can make healthy choices and do good things to care for themselves.
