Aaron Bisman

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Aaron Bisman is the Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sesame Workshop, where he is responsible for expanding and elevating consumer engagement and deepening the nonprofit’s relationships with consumers, partners, donors, families, and fans. This includes overseeing global brand management, marketing strategy, owned and paid media, and brand creative.

For more than two decades, Bisman has served as an organizational leader building and managing media, cultural, and entertainment brands. He has deep experience in organizational development, digital strategy, marketing innovation, arts and culture program design, and change management. 
 
Bisman previously served as Sesame Workshop’s Vice President for Audience Development, overseeing direct-to-consumer strategy and channels including social media, email, and web. Under his leadership, Sesame Workshop’s organic social channels grew to reach over 1B people per year, while his team won multiple industry awards and launched Sesame.org, a thriving destination for parents, educators, fans, and donors. 

Prior to Sesame Workshop, Bisman spent years building audiences for brands, artists, and organizations. He was Director of Brand, Sales, and Marketing at Jazz at Lincoln Center, where he launched mission-driven enterprises including a Grammy-nominated record company, an NPR co-produced radio program, a branded-content studio, and a jazz-industry conference. In 2002, he founded JDub, a nonprofit media company that launched new Jewish voices into mainstream culture, including groundbreaking artists Matisyahu and Balkan Beat Box. 

Bisman holds a B.A. in Music from New York University. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and children.
