K Is for Kindness
Join Elmo, Abby, and friends in singing this special song about kindness.
Watch this video together and take turns sharing examples of kindness. How do we show kindness towards other people, animals, and the environment? Encouraging children to think about little and big ways to show compassion and empathy helps build their own awareness of the world around them, from the tiniest worm to the biggest bird! Here are some cases of kindness to share with little ones:
- Kindness to people: giving a sibling a hug, helping someone in need, and listening to a friend.
- Kindness to animals: adopting a pet, filling up a cat’s water bowl, or walking a dog.
- Kindness to the environment: recycling, planting a garden, throwing garbage away.
