The Ways We’ve Grown

A coloring page to help families connect with themselves and each other.

When someone dies, many things may change, both around us and inside us. We will learn new things and grow in ways we never could have expected. Talking about the changes and the ways they’ve grown can help children (and grown-ups) feel grounded as they grieve.

Color this page together with children. As you color, talk about some positive ways in which you’ve grown since your person died. Have you learned to do old things in new ways? Have you learned something new about yourself or your family? Are you more compassionate, kind, or present?
