Sibling Playdates
A video about problem-solving and sharing between siblings, featuring Julia and her brother Samuel from Sesame Street.
Julia and Sam can’t agree on who gets to play with Superpup Rose! Here’s an autism-friendly viewing activity to explore sibling interactions and discover children’s unique talents. Watch the video together, then talk about how Superhero Mega Mommy came to the rescue of Julia and Sam.
Ask, “Can you think of a time when it was hard to share? How did you—or someone else—help solve the problem?” You can also take turns answering the questions, “If you were a superhero, what would be your superpower? What superpower would you most like to have?” (Julia and Sam’s mom said that her superpowers were caring and understanding!)
