Take a walk with your child(ren) and have them identify the local habitats in your neighborhood (forests, fields, ponds, sidewalk cracks, gardens, desert, etc.). They can draw a picture of at least one of the habitats they find and include an animal that lives there. Does the habitat supply what the animals need to survive?
