Family Playtime
Ideas for a family playtime routine.
Print this page and share the short story with children, then invite children to color the pictures. (You can also just share it on screen).
Together, name activities your child likes to do as well as things other family members like to do. You might make a list of everyone’s activity choices, and post it where children can see. Think about which activities you like to do together (such as puzzles), and which each of you likes to do separately. Setting a timer helps children prepare for a favorite activity to come to an end (the time will depend on the child and the activity).
