Each Family Is Amazing
A video with Sesame Street's Rosita and Julia about celebrating different kinds of families.
Here’s a great autism-friendly screening activity for all kids: Watch the video together. Ask children how Julia’s family, Rosita’s family, and their own family are the same or different. Remind them that there are lots of different kinds and sizes of families. They are all amazing, and each member of the family is important.
Point out that in the video, Rosita tells Julia that she looks like her mother, and that she likes to be silly with her brother Sam. Ask children what they have in common with other family members. Then talk about what is unique just to them!
