  • UnitedHealthcare

Since 2010, UnitedHealthcare and Sesame Workshop have partnered on multimedia initiatives that improve the well-being of young children and families—especially those most vulnerable—by building a strong foundation for lifelong healthy habits.

UnitedHealthcare and Sesame Workshop’s partnership offers bilingual (English and Spanish) educational materials including:

  • New resources to help children build resilience and thrive in their communities, including three new storybooks featuring Sesame Street Muppets Karli, Lily, and Alex; and Roads to Resilience, a comprehensive course for providers and caregivers to help implement the new resilience resources with the children they serve, building happy and healthy communities together.
  • Growing Every Day, Every Way, offering parents and caregivers information on developmental milestones and aligning them with well-child visits.
  • We Have the Moves, encouraging families to incorporate physical activity into daily routines.
  • Food for Thought: Eating Well on a Budget uniquely supporting families coping with limited access to affordable, nutritious food.

We have also addressed a variety of children’s health issues through initiatives designed to help families avoid exposure to lead, help children with asthma lead active lives, and create and maintain a safe home environment. Since 2019, UnitedHealthcare and Sesame Workshop have partnered to create resources for grandparents and held special Grandparents Day activities.
