Letter From the President & CEO

2025 was a difficult year for the families we serve and for us at Sesame Workshop. Despite very real challenges — from major disasters to cuts in public broadcasting and international aid — we pursue our work with determination and optimism.

In 2025, we announced groundbreaking new partnerships to bring Sesame Street  to more children than ever before. When fires, hurricanes, and floods hit communities across the U.S., we brought comfort and guidance directly to families. Now we’re launching our 56th season focused on kindness, compassion, and creating community — just what the next generation needs to build a shared future across deep divides.

In times like these, we turn to those we trust. For 55 years, families have trusted Sesame to give children the tools they need to thrive in school and life. Now we’re turning to friends like you. As public funding ends, your financial support is even more critical to our work. Thank you for standing with us to help children everywhere grow smarter, stronger, and kinder.

With gratitude,

Sherrie Westin
