Sesame Workshop is a nonprofit educational organization making a meaningful difference in children’s lives around the world.  Founded in 1968, the Workshop changed television forever with the legendary Sesame Street. Televisa, Mexico’s terrestrial broadcaster, is the world’s largest producer of Spanish-language programming. It reaches all of Mexico’s 18 million television households. Plaza Sésamo premiered in 1972 on Televisa, Sesame Workshop’s first international co-production partner. Televisa has also been a partner on many marketing events and celebrations. Today, Televisa co-produces more than half of all of the original content for Plaza Sésamo, as well as producing the studio set where the show is filmed. The series airs on Canal 5. In addition to television broadcasting and production, Televisa has interests in music recording, satellite services, professional sports, publishing, paging services and dubbing.
   

 
   
Discovery Kids has been a broadcast partner for Plaza Sésamo since 1999 and has broadcast Elmo’s World since 2002. It is the first and only 24/7 channel in Latin America dedicated 100% to the youngest of viewers. It provides a unique environment that nurtures children’s curiosity using characters and stories, enabling them to relate to real life experiences. Discovery Kids integrates the Discovery Networks Latin America/Iberia (DLA/I) portfolio comprised of six channels across 34 countries in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and Iberian territories; Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids, Discovery Health, Discovery Travel & Adventure, People + Arts, Animal Planet, the latter two a product of a joint venture with BBC Worldwide Ltd.  Discovery Networks Latin America/Iberia (DLA/I), launched in 1994, reaches a cumulative subscriber base in excess of 65 million. Programming is customized into five languages and broadcast on 17 unique feeds.
   

 
   
TeleFutura, a unit of Univision Communications, is a 24-hour general-interest Spanish-language broadcast television network reaching 73% of U.S. Hispanic households. The network launched in January 2002 to provide a new range of viewing choices to U.S. Hispanics. By "counter programming" traditional Spanish-language schedules with an innovative lineup of top-quality entertainment, TeleFutura satisfies the tremendous thirst for diverse programming that today's multifaceted U.S. Hispanic community demands. TeleFutura broadcasts hit movies, blockbuster sports, Latin-American talk shows, game shows, original novelas, original news briefs, teen-targeted programming, and a weekend morning kids block.
